This striking WWII-themed chess set features key historical figures and military elements, paired with a 40cm walnut and maple Spanish chessboard.

Easily recognised with his trademark moustache and haunted look, the infamous Hitler is flanked by incredibly detailed, high-ranking officers on either side. They, in turn, command the smartly uniformed pawns who are presenting arms.

US President from 1933 until 1945, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, heads the American forces. His right-hand man is potentially the high-ranking Sergeant Major of the Army, a rank bestowed on one man only. The bishop stands proud as a sergeant major overseeing ranks of the smartly dressed pawns. Again, the rooks and knights are the eye-catching pieces, with the White House bearing the US Flag and a tank in action.

We have matched these historical pieces with a beautiful walnut and maple chessboard to produce this enviable chess set. The chessmen are also available without the chessboard. Either way, they make a superb gift for any WWII or chess enthusiast.
