The detailing really is superb, with each piece is nicely weighted with green flocked bases. At 9.53 cm (95 mm) the king is of competition size and all of the black pieces are subjected to an ebonising process that makes them look exactly like real ebony, without the associated price tag.
To showcase these rather special pieces, we have chosen a beautifully finished, high gloss lacquered large chess board produced by renowned Spanish chess board maker Rechapados Ferrer. Quality grey Ash Burl and Maple veneers and fabrication techniques are used and this makes for a chess board with clean lines and meticulous attention to detail.
