Created by our skilled craftsmen, The Rochester Ebony Chess Men are a welcome addition to our luxury chess piece range with each piece starting life as a solid block of wood, that is then painstakingly and expertly crafted into an individual work of art.
The design of these pieces is traditionally Staunton. The timeless and classic carvings offering sleek, curvaceous shanks and elegant wide bases make these ideally proportioned chess ornaments. Each piece is comfortably weighted and naturally polished to a soft sheen finish. As you would expect from this luxury set, it also boasts 4 queens.
These imposing pieces sit well on larger boards of 50.80 cm upwards. We have matched them with a larger walnut board to create the stunning The Rochester Ebony and Walnut Grand Chess Set.
